| For the Safe Riding Program the Texas District has established the following programs. | |

The Safe Riding Program (SRP) is intended to make the
motorcycle riding environment safer by reducing injuries and
fatalities and increasing motorcyclist skills and awareness. The
SRP does not propose to have all the answers.
However, our close-working
relationship with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF), as well
as additional programs and studies, has provided a wealth of
information for use in the Safe Rider Program. Through Commitment, Education and Application, we can reduce our accident rate significantly. The Safety - Ride Coordinator (SRC) is appointed by the Chapter Director. The SRC is focused on safe riding and should give safety talks at chapter events / rides. The SRC is also in charge of safety talks on riding, co-rider importance, riding apparel, group riding, etc. The SRC also coordinates rides with chapter members and recruits volunteers to lead rides. Listed below are several benefits of a fully implemented Safe Rider Program at the District and Chapter level: |

Both the motorcycle and motorist community can realizing many positive benefits from the Safe Riding Program. Through the efforts of the Education volunteers throughout the world, we will reach our goal of establishing the safest motorcycle environment possible.
